Stratifyd Among 50 Fastest-Growing Companies in Charlotte

Estimated reading time: 2 minutes

Each year, the Charlotte Business Journal identifies the 50 fastest-growing private companies in the area based on the dollar and percentage growth in revenue throughout the last three years. This year, Stratifyd has a seat at the table – literally; there’s a dinner for the honorees.

“It’s great for Charlotte and it’s great for Stratifyd,” Stratifyd CTO, Kevin O’Dell said. “There’s a growing tech scene here, and getting this award – along with the Best Places to Work [distinction] – is going to help us continue in hypergrowth mode and to attract the best and the brightest.”

Stratifyd is an end-to-end customer analytics company, specializing in unstructured data. Its AI-powered platform ingests countless amounts of customer feedback (think: Amazon reviews) and determines sentiment, organizes the findings in a range of different visual representations, and empowers anyone to be a data scientist.

Stratifyd got its start in 2015 and has grown to more than 50 employees. It’s helped companies including Mountain Khakis, Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Prudential, and more analyze consumer-generated content in order to improve goods and services, increase customer retention, and boost revenue.

“What I find interesting about the Fast 50 is the time that it occurred,” O’Dell said. “We got this at roughly the same time that our Series B funding was announced. So not only are we one of the 50 fastest-growing companies in Charlotte, we just cleared a growth round which is going to accelerate that, creating new jobs in the Charlotte market.”

Stratifyd announced last week that it had secured a $25 million Series B investment, led by equity firm Georgian Partners. The funding will help deepen AI capabilities and expand into key verticals.

Being recognized as one of the Fast 50 will help Stratifyd become more widely known and achieve its goal of becoming a global technology hub in Charlotte.

The ranking of the 50 honorees will be announced on Dec. 6, 2018 and featured in a special report set to be released the following day.
